Free Zone Overview

What Is Ajman Media City Free Zone? Ajman Media City

Ajman Media City Free Zone was established in 2018 by Emiri Decree and consolidated under the Ajman Free Zones Authority in 2021. It was built around one idea: remove every barrier between a founder and a licensed, operational business.

AMC sits in Ajman, 30 minutes from Dubai and even closer to Sharjah. That location gives businesses real access to the UAE's two largest commercial hubs without the cost of setting up inside either.

Despite the name, AMCFZ covers media, technology, consultancy, e-commerce, trading, and industrial activities, often bundled under a single license. It also hosts one of the UAE's only officially recognised Social Media Influencer licenses.

The entire registration process runs through AMC's fully digital One Click platform. Applications, payments, document signing, and license issuance all happen online. Many clients receive their license the same day.

Legal Structures

Which Company Structure Does AMCFZ Support?

AMCFZ offers two main legal structures plus a branch option. The right one depends on whether you are entering as an individual, a partnership, or an existing corporate entity. Structure choice affects banking, visas, and future costs. RIZ & MONA Consultancy helps you choose correctly before you register.

Free Zone Establishment (FZE)

  • Single individual or corporate entity as the sole shareholder
  • Liability limited to the value of shares held
  • Company exists as a separate legal entity from its owner

  • 2 to 10 individuals or corporate entities as shareholders
  • Each shareholder's liability limited to the value of their shares
  • Company exists as a separate legal entity from all shareholders
  • Flexible capital structure with no minimum deposit requirement
  • Covers the full range of AMC-approved activities

Branch Office

  • Requires an existing UAE mainland or foreign parent company
  • Not a separate legal entity — operates as an extension of the parent
  • Parent company carries all liability for the branch's operations
  • Activities must align with the parent company's approved scope
  • Best suited to established international companies adding a UAE footprint
2026 Pricing

How Much Does an Ajman Media City Setup Cost? Cost

AMCFZ pricing is package-based and fully transparent. All four official packages are fixed-price with no hidden government fees. Your total depends on visa count, office upgrade, and any regulated activities.

Business Club

AED 4,999 per year

Zero-visa package with co-working access and up to 10 activities and 10 shareholders. Renews at the same price annually. Best for founders who already hold UAE residency or are testing the market.

Visionary

AED 12,999 first year | AED 8,999 renewal

One UAE residency visa, co-working access, immigration services, and up to 10 activities. The most popular AMCFZ package. Renewal rate drops significantly from year two.

Pioneer

AED 17,999 first year | AED 10,999 renewal

Two UAE residency visas, full licensing, and immigration services. For founders building a small team or sponsoring a family member alongside their own visa.

Innovator

AED 22,999 first year | AED 14,999 renewal

Three UAE residency visas with premium setup and full immigration support. Built for founders ready to scale with a small team from day one.

What Affects Your Total Cost

  • Visa Count Beyond Package

Each additional visa adds government immigration fees, medical test costs, and Emirates ID processing on top of your base package.

  • Office Upgrade

The base package includes co-working from 10 hours per month. Moving to a dedicated desk or private office from 12 sq. m adds a separate annual facility fee.

  • Regulated Activities

Certain media, financial, and professional activities require additional approvals from external UAE authorities, adding time and fees to the process.

  • Annual Audit

AMCFZ requires an audited financial report every year. Budget AED 1,500 to AED 4,000 depending on your chosen UAE-registered audit firm.

  • Amendment Fees

Any post-registration changes including company name, shareholders, or business activities are subject to authority amendment fees.

  • Health Insurance

Mandatory for all visa holders in the UAE and not included in the package price. Cost varies by provider and applicant profile.

Important Note

All prices are sourced from the official AMCFZ packages page and are subject to change by the Ajman Free Zones Authority. RIZ & MONA Consultancy provides a full itemised quote before any payment is made.

Banking

Which Banks Work With AMCFZ Companies? AMCFZ Companies

AMCFZ is recognised across the UAE banking system and the AMC bank introduction letter helps initiate account conversations. Ajman-based companies occasionally face additional scrutiny from certain banks, so a well-prepared file matters more here than in higher-profile jurisdictions.

  • Prepare a detailed business plan before approaching any bank. It is the most common missing document in rejected applications.
  • Be upfront about all planned activities. Compliance mismatches between your license and bank statements cause account freezes.
  • Have a clear explanation of expected transaction types, currencies, and client geographies ready before the KYC interview.
  • Consider a digital bank first. For new AMCFZ companies, Wio Bank is faster and less documentation-heavy than traditional banks.
  • All banking decisions are made solely by UAE financial institutions. RIZ & MONA Consultancy provides introduction and documentation support and does not guarantee account approval.
