Before you submit your application, you have to go through a compulsory eye test. You can visit any eye test center and get your eyesight tested. After undergoing the test, the information will be uploaded automatically on the RTA UAE system.

RTA UAE Website

This channel is best for renewing your driving license online. Upon visiting the official website of RTA UAE, you will come across a simple-to-use and useful tool for the renewal process. Follow the following steps and you can apply for renewing your license or getting a new one:

• Visit the RTA UAE official website and go to the “Driver and Car Owner” tab.
• Next, under the “Most Popular” tab, click on the “License Renewal” tab.
• Now, under the “Driver License Services” tab, click on the “Vehicles and Driver License Services”.
• Here, you will enter the required information and upload the asked documents.
• Pay the pending fines or charges, if any.

Once the process is completed, you will be given a temporary license. This temporary license is considered an “Interim Driving license”. It is valid for up to 15 days. You can use it for showing to the police or authorities until you get the permanent one. You will receive your new license from Happiness Centers at Deira or Al Barsha. If you wish to receive it at your home, you can pay 25 AED as delivery charges and get it delivered to your home.

RTA Call Center

• Dial the number 8009090 and talk to the representative for renewing your driving license.
• The agent will ask you for your RTA driving license number.
• Pay the charges or fines online, if applicable

Once this process is done, you will be provided with a temporary license via e-mail. It is valid for 15 working days. You can show it to the authorities or police until you get a permanent driving license. You will get your new driving license from Happiness Centers at Deira or Al Barsha. Required Documents

Legal Age and Validity Licence Renewal

Within three to five working days, you can If you are 21 years old, you can renew your driving license before the expiry date.
