Documents Required for DHA License in Dubai
The documents that you need to submit during your DHA License application is as follows:
- Passport size pictures with white background
- Medical fitness test (For candidates of age 65 and above)

How to Apply for DHA License in Dubai?
Follow the steps mentioned ahead to get your DHA license:
Create Sheryan Account
First of all, you have to create a personal ID on the Sheryan DHA portal. What you will do is:
- Visit the “DHA Single Sign-On” portal
- Click on the “Register New Account” option.
- Submit the required details and information accurately.
- Click on the “Register” option.
You will get your account authentication details on your currently active email.
The next step is to pass the initial self-assessment. Go to the Self-Assessment Tool of Sheryan. Submit the required information. Make sure the details are accurate and up-to-date.
If your submitted information meets the criteria of the Dubai Medical Registry, It means you are suitable to be a part of the Registry. If that is your case, you will be taken to the next step.
In case you are not eligible, you have to review the profile manually by yourself.
For that you will be required to do the following:
- Apply online providing demanded documents and information.
- Submit the fee challan.
- Wait for a maximum of 10 days for your DHA to review your application.
Post that, you will be required to clear your PSV (Primary Source Verification) assessment. The screening process of applicants is done by DataFlow Group. The PSV is responsible for in-depth checking of the qualifications, credentials, and educational backgrounds of the candidates. The purpose of this step of thorough checking of submitted applications is to filter out vague and doubtful applicants and allow only the authentic professionals to be registered with the DMR (Dubai Medical Registry).
Eligible candidates for the DHA license should also take the CBT assessment. But not all nurses, dentists, healthcare professionals, and doctors need to clear this initial assessment. Only some of the medical experts have to pass the assessment. Prometric is responsible for conducting this DHA license exam. This independent examination body checks the skill levels and tests the knowledge of all the candidates.
You are required to register on the official Sheryan DHA in order to formally submit the DHA license application. To get yourself registered, you need to do the following:
- Click on the “Register a Professional” button
- Submit the required details and information
- Upload the relevant documents
- Pay the DHA registration fees and submit the application
The approval, return, or rejection of your application solely depends on your PSV and CBT assessment results. DHA will review your submitted application and take action accordingly.
Some professional healthcare positions require the clearance of an oral assessment. For that, you have to:

Activate DHA License

Once the activation is done, you will be issued an interim DHA license and will receive your professional license later on.
DHA License Expiry Date
DHA license is valid for only one year till the time of activation. You have to renew your license before it expires. We recommend that you should submit your DHA license renewal application two to three months before the expiry date.
