Step-by-Step UAE VAT Registration Checklist
This checklist breaks down UAE VAT registration into clear, manageable sections, so nothing is missed during the application process.

1. Core Company Documents
Every application starts with proof of legal registration. This includes a valid trade license and either a Memorandum of Association or Certificate of Incorporation. These documents confirm eligibility under UAE VAT regulations.
2. Partner & Ownership Details
Identity verification is a critical step. Passport copies and Emirates ID copies are required for all partners, shareholders, and authorized signatories. Active email addresses and mobile numbers must also be provided for official communication and verification.
3. Supporting Business Proofs
To demonstrate taxable activity, the checklist includes:
- •Sales or purchase invoices (where available)
- •Official company stamp
- •Complete bank details, including IBAN
- •Bank confirmation letter (if applicable)
4. Submission & Approval
All documents should be clear, valid, and correctly formatted, preferably in PDF form. Once reviewed and approved, the TRN (Tax Registration Number) is issued, allowing the business to legally charge, collect, and manage VAT in the UAE.
